In-Room Food Service

If your diet allows, you can order from the menu in your room during designated times. Call 26NOW (2-6669) from your hospital room's phone to place your order. Please ask your nurse for a menu that is specific to your diet. View information about the hospital's cafeteria, café, and vending machines.

Mail Service

At Holy Cross Hospital, a mailbox for sending mail is located next to the chapel elevators. Postage stamps are available in the gift shop. Mail is delivered once a day to patients.

At Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, the mail is delivered to the hospital once a day and picked up by each department to distribute to patients accordingly. Postage stamps are available in the gift shop in the main lobby.

Healing Garden

Holy Cross Health is committed to healing the mind, body, and spirit with a calm and nurturing environment. Patients and visitors are welcome to spend time in the beautiful, natural outdoor gardens at our hospitals. At Holy Cross Hospital, the healing garden, dedicated to the congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, is located adjacent to the main entrance to the hospital. At Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, the healing garden is accessible by the door near the security desk on the first floor.

Spiritual Care and Chapel

Spiritual assistance is available to patients and families of all faiths and beliefs. This may include:

  • Spiritual counseling
  • Crisis support
  • End-of-life support
  • Ethical concerns
  • Prayer support
  • Eucharistic ministry
  • Sacraments of reconciliation (confession) and anointing of the sick, upon request

The Holy Cross Hospital chapel is located on the first floor. The Holy Cross Germantown Hospital chapel is located on the second floor. The chapels are 24 hours and persons of all faiths are welcome to use the chapel for prayer and meditation.

Patients can view Mass in their room on channel 70 as it's being held at Holy Cross Hospital, Sunday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m.

Sabbath candles are offered bedside to all patients who indicated they were Jewish at registration.

Pharmacy

Prescriptions given to you as you leave the hospital may be filled at the pharmacy of your choice. At Holy Cross Hospital, you may have them filled at the hospital's outpatient pharmacy located on the first floor. The outpatient pharmacy is open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday (closed on major holidays). Most prescription plans are honored. Most major credit cards are accepted.

Holy Cross Germantown Hospital does not have an outpatient pharmacy.

Notary Public

The hospital provides notary services. Check with your nurse for availability.

ATM

At Holy Cross Hospital, an ATM is located on the first floor in the main lobby. At Holy Cross Germantown Hospitalan ATM is located across from the cashier's office on the first floor.
