Nervous system disorders affect the brain, spinal cord and nerves—disrupting communication between the body and the brain. This can lead to pain, weakness, coordination issues and movement challenges.
At Holy Cross Health, our expert team provides advanced care for complex conditions of the central and peripheral nervous systems. We treat stroke, epilepsy, brain tumors, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and more—helping to relieve your symptoms, restore function and regain independence through personalized treatment plans.

Deep brain stimulation
Advanced treatment technology
Holy Cross Health is one of the few centers in the region offering deep brain stimulation (DBS)—a minimally invasive treatment that can significantly improve quality of life for patients with Parkinson’s, essential tremors and other movement disorders.
Using advanced imaging and brain mapping, our neurosurgeons precisely place electrodes in areas of the brain that control movement. These are connected to a small device implanted in the chest, which sends controlled electrical impulses to help regulate abnormal brain activity—helping to:
- Reduce tremors
- Improve coordination and balance
- Control involuntary movements
Patients are closely supported by neurologists, neurosurgeons and rehabilitation specialists before, during and after treatment.
