Seeing a Doctor Online is Simple, Secure, and Convenient.

What is a video visit?

Holy Cross Health virtual video visits are a safe, secure way for patients (18 and older) to be connected with a provider from anywhere. Your visit takes place via video using your desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

How does it work?

Our Holy Cross Health Partners and Holy Cross Health Centers providers are available by video (with no apps to download). This type of visit can help with primary care needs such as:

  • Acute illness and symptom management (including prescriptions)
  • An annual wellness exam
  • Preventive care
  • Chronic disease management

How to schedule a video visit?

Video visits can be scheduled online. Co-payments for video visits are dependent on your insurance coverage.

How to prepare for a video visit?

  • Whether you're at home or away from home, protect your privacy by choosing a private, well-lit, and quiet place for your visit. Calls should not be taken while driving.
  • A child must be present during pediatric appointments. Pediatric appointments are only available at the Holy Cross Health Center in Germantown.
  • Ensure your device is charged and that your camera provides a clear view of you for the provider. Close any open applications and avoid streaming (such as music or TV shows).
  • Make a list of any symptoms, chronic conditions, medications, pharmacy info or other doctors you’re seeing.
  • If possible, take your vital signs an hour before your visit. This may include your height, weight, temperature, pulse, blood oxygen level, and blood pressure.
  • Have paper and a pen ready for taking notes during the visit.
  • Talk clearly and answer the provider’s questions. Speak up if you don’t understand something or the next steps.
  • If possible, try to limit other devices/apps streaming on your wi-fi during the video visit.
  • During your telehealth visit, you will not be asked to disrobe (get undressed) at any time. Due to privacy concerns, we are unable to provide examinations of sensitive areas that would require the removal of undergarments via a telehealth visit.
