With Your Generous Support Holy Cross Renovates 13,000-Square-Foot
Holy Cross Health helps bring more than 10,000 babies into the world each year. It’s a fact that the physical demands of delivering a child can be daunting to even the most experienced moms. That’s one reason it’s crucial that labor and delivery facilities are as user-friendly as possible for moms, families and staff alike.
Through the generosity of our donors, including a lead gift from The Nora Roberts Foundation, Holy Cross Health is meeting the needs of our patients and families with a newly renovated 13,000-square-foot labor & delivery unit, perinatal diagnostic center (PDC), C-section operating rooms and associated post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). This included increasing the number of labor & delivery triage beds, adding a fourth operating room, and expanding the size of all operating rooms to accommodate the birth of multiples, high-risk deliveries and the neonatal care team. We are now able to provide comfortable, new, pre-operative C-section bays and the larger PACU allows for more mothers and a comfortable space for their partners.
Our dedicated staff, many of whom work 12-hour shifts, are benefitting from the efficiency enhancements of the reconfigured, updated workspace.
For 60 years, Holy Cross Health has been an important provider of primary and specialty care services in the community. Families come to us to grow and thrive. Donors make an impact on our families every day through their support of projects like the newly renovated Labor & Delivery Unit.
Since 2017, more than $730,000 has been raised from 300 unique donors in support of the Women and Infants Unit.
