Dr. Hawani Temesgen graduated from Addis Ababa University/Gondar College of Medical Science in 1989 and completed residency in internal medicine at Central Michigan University College of Medicine/CMU Medical Education Partners in 1994. With over 35 years of experience in medical practice, Dr. Temesgen is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Inspired by a strong desire to help others, Dr. Temesgen was influenced early on by her mother who worked as a nurse. Frequent visits to her mother’s workplace offered her firsthand insight into the profound impact that care and empathy can have on patients and their families.
Dr. Temesgen’s approach to medicine emphasizes collaboration, evidence-based practice, and shared decision-making. By focusing on each patient’s unique needs and working closely with colleagues, she strives to ensure the highest quality of care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Temesgen enjoys reading fiction and traveling.
