Holy Cross Hospital’s renovation and modernization project continues to move forward. Please pardon our traffic and parking disruptions as we move toward building a new patient care building at the back of the hospital.
Please note that relocation of the Holy Cross Hospital east entrance to the Emergency Center and parking was completed on August 20 and expansion of the Forest Glen Parking Garage has begun. Please note the following changes that will be in effect for the next 12 months while expansion of the Forest Glen Garage is underway:
Beginning Saturday, Aug. 18 (12-month duration) - Forest Glen Parking Garage:
- The lower level east entrance/exit currently used by Holy Cross Hospital staff and the 2nd level east entrance/exit currently used by physician services building (PSB) patients and staff will close; access to the garage will not be available from this side.
- All vehicle access to the Forest Glen Parking Garage will be via the main campus entrance off of Forest Glen Road. All visitors, patients, employees and PSB staff and physicians will enter and exit the garage through the same entrance at the top of the garage, which is to the left of the hospital's front door. NOTE: a second entry/exit gate has been added to ease congestion at the garage entry/exit point. Holy Cross visitors and PSB patients will park on the upper three floors of the garage; Holy Cross Hospital staff and PSB staff/physicians will drive down and park on the lowest level of the garage.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 20 (12-month duration) - New East Campus Entrance:
- The relocated east campus entrance and perimeter road will re-open and the Emergency Center parking lot, which was closed for construction of the storm water management system, also will reopen.
- This new campus entrance is to be used for access to the Emergency Center only, not for accessing the Forest Glen Garage. The garage will no longer be accessible from this side.
- The new east campus entrance also will be used for deliveries to the PSB, Holy Cross Hospital patient transport and construction personnel and deliveries for the new Patient Care Building being built in the back of the hospital.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 27 (12-month duration) - Expansion of Forest Glen Parking Garage:
- Construction on the expansion of the Forest Glen Garage commences.
