(Silver Spring, MD) – Montgomery County Police plans to do a driving tribute at 7:45 a.m. on Friday, April 24, to celebrate the heroes at Holy Cross Hospital. The cruisers will stage near 9805 Dameron Drive in Silver Spring, and will proceed from Dameron onto Forest Glen Road and through the hospital drive (map below).

As of this morning, the COVID-19 virus has affected 15,737 individuals in the state along with their loved ones and caregivers. In Montgomery County, one of the hardest-hit counties in the state, just over 3,000 individuals have tested positive.

“First responders, including our care teams, police, and fire and rescue, are on the front lines supporting individuals needing care from the effects of COVID-19,” said Louis A. Damiano, MD, president, Holy Cross Hospital. “I am so proud of all of the healthcare heroes at Holy Cross Hospital. Our clinical care teams and support services teams are strong in their service and care for each individual we serve. We are grateful for this recognition from Montgomery County Police, and we recognize and celebrate their heroic efforts in return.”
