Important Flu Notice for Patients and Visitors
January 5, 2015Due to the high rate of flu illness in the community and in our patients who are admitted to the hospital, as of January 5, 2015, we are putting visitor restrictions in place:
- If you are a visitor and have symptoms of flu, such as fever, sore throat, runny nose, muscle aches or cough, we ask that you NOT visit the hospital. This precaution helps protect our patients, staff, and other visitors
- Visiting children under the age of 12 are not allowed in any patient care areas except to see a family member in end-of-life circumstances or to accompany a family member to the Emergency Center
- If you are a patient or a visitor who must be here and you have symptoms of flu, you will be asked to wear a mask.
- Remember to cover your cough and sneeze. Properly dispose of your tissues.
- HAND HYGIENE IS IMPORTANT. Wash your hands frequently and use hand sanitizer (Dispensers are located throughout the hospital) in between hand washings.
Thank you for your cooperation.
