Silver Spring, Md. – (April 16, 2026) – Holy Cross Health, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, was honored to welcome Cardinal Robert McElroy, archbishop of Washington, D.C., for a special pastoral visit to Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md., yesterday, offering a meaningful opportunity for reflection, connection and spiritual support for patients, colleagues and leadership.
During his visit, Cardinal McElroy provided a blessing for members of the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic senior leaders, recognizing their commitment to compassionate care and service to the community. The Cardinal also toured the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where he met with clinical staff and learned more about the specialized care provided to the hospital’s youngest and most vulnerable patients.
In addition, Cardinal McElroy spent time visiting with hospital colleagues across various departments, offering words of encouragement and gratitude for their dedication to healing and service.
