More than 180 enthusiastic golfers and nurse volunteers took part in the Holy Cross Health Annual Golf Classic on Monday, May 9, at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD. Thanks to the generous support of physician and corporate sponsors and participants, this year's event raised more than $164,000 for Holy Cross Health's nursing excellence programs and expansion projects.

Guests heard from Annice Cody, President, Holy Cross Health Network; Judith Rogers, President, Holy Cross Hospital; and Doug Ryder, President, Holy Cross Germantown Hospital who shared how important this event is to nursing excellence and the capital campaign. This support enables Holy Cross Health nurses to receive training to provide excellent patient care and has increased the number of specialty certifications. This event also supports expansion projects such as the building of Holy Cross Health's fourth health center in Germantown for medically underserved children and adults, and the new South Building at Holy Cross Hospital to provide every patient the dignity, comfort and privacy of a private room throughout the hospital. Dr. Blair Eig, Chief Medical Officer of Holy Cross Health, served as the evening's master of ceremonies.

Congratulations to all of this year's golf winners, and thank you to our sponsors, including Platinum Sponsor NMS Healthcare.
