We are excited to share another stage of growth within our Department of Radiology. Please welcome Dr. Chandra M. Baker to the Holy Cross Health team. Dr. Baker is a fellow trained radiologist who specializes in mammography, breast biopsies, and other well care relating to the breast. Her presence will help us treat more patients and fulfill our vision of providing world class compassionate care to every patient, every time using Breast Imaging Center of Excellence principles.
Dr. Baker is currently seeing patients at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring and supports our Holy Cross Breast Cancer program. She has an extensive history in radiology having served in various clinical, teaching, administrative, and committee-member settings. Prior to joining Holy Cross Health, Dr. Baker served as a Radiology Contractor at Baker Radiology, Assistant Professor of Radiology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, as well as Radiologist and Partner at Catawba Radiological Associates and Medical Director at Frye Regional Medical Breast Center – both in North Carolina.
Dr. Baker earned her undergraduate degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and graduate studies at the National Institutes of Health. She attended medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed fellowships at The George Washington University Hospital and Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as her diagnostic radiology residency at Georgetown University Medical Center.
When Dr. Baker is not taking care of patients, you can catch her in the gym. She’s an aspiring amateur master bodybuilder and power lifter. Dr. Baker is an avid believer in the benefits of mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health-optimization in midlife and beyond.
