Heart disease is the leading killer of both men and women in the United States. Holy Cross Hospital is committed to reducing the devastating impact of this disease.

Housing the region's first coronary care unit, Holy Cross Hospital has long served the community with a cardiac program designed to educate you on how to prevent heart disease, help with early detection and treatment, take care of you in an emergency when seconds count and provide ongoing support to people with cardiac disease.

Holy Cross Hospital has earned Cardiac Interventional Center designation by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS), which means Holy Cross Hospital has met rigorous standards to permit the treatment of patients experiencing the most severe type of heart attack, called a STEMI.
