As a market leader in inpatient cancer care, Holy Cross Health is advancing towards being among the top health systems in the state to deliver comprehensive cancer services.

Silver Spring, Maryland – Holy Cross Health leaders recently announced that they have signed a lease for a location to build phase one of a two-phase plan to create a convenient community-based Cancer Center. The new location will relocate and replace the current Radiation Treatment Center, adding, in phase two, medical and surgical services as well as advanced imaging and an expansion of navigation, care coordination, and supportive services.

As a market leader in inpatient cancer care, Holy Cross Health is advancing towards being among the top health systems in the state to deliver comprehensive cancer services. Building, partnering, and opening this new ambulatory cancer center is a key element in the system’s strategic growth initiatives to diversify and innovate in this area.

“We envision this new center as a key element in the Holy Cross Health cancer medical home, fulfilling the philosophy of patient-centered, team-based, accessible, and coordinated comprehensive cancer care,” said Kristin Feliciano, chief strategy officer. “We are excited to work with our patients, providers, and colleagues to design this rich array of services so that community members throughout Montgomery and Prince George’s counties will receive the best care, close to home.”

The new cancer care center will be located in Wheaton, Maryland.
