In addition to these top gynecologic surgeons, Holy Cross Health's Gynecologic Surgery program includes more than 100 board-certified physicians with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of women with gynecologic health problems, including gynecologic oncologists, gynecologists specializing in the treatment of cancers of the reproductive system in women; radiation oncologists, physicians specializing in the use of radiation therapy to treat cancer; and urogynecologists, doctors with special expertise in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders in women, such as incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
The team is supported by a specially trained group of nurses and nurse practitioners with training in recovery from gynecologic surgery. A program coordinator helps patients navigate care the treatment process from pre-surgical testing through discharge and follow-up care.
