Philanthropy is important to any nonprofit's ability to achieve the highest level of service, and that is certainly true for Holy Cross Health. In partnership with our donors, physicians, staff and volunteers, we identify important and emerging needs and the ways in which philanthropy can help leverage our resources to help meet those needs.
The Holy Cross Health Foundation
The Holy Cross Health Foundation is a not-for-profit organization devoted to raising philanthropic funds to support the mission of Holy Cross Health and to improve the health of the community. Contributions to the foundation help Holy Cross Health to invest in new technologies, nursing education, clinical services, community health programs, renovations, and new construction. Building a New Generation of Medicine: The Campaign for Holy Cross supports the construction of the new Holy Cross Germantown Hospital and a new patient care building in Silver Spring. Holy Cross Health Volunteer Program
Each year, we average 400 volunteers who contribute 71,000 hours annually. Our open volunteer positions are currently very limited and our volunteers are asked for a specific commitment. Learn how you can become involved.
The Holy Cross Health Auxiliary is a community service organization founded in March 1963, shortly after the opening of Holy Cross Hospital, to support the hospital's vision and mission. Auxiliary members provide service in various departments throughout Holy Cross Hospital and operate the hospital gift shop. A portion of every purchase made at the gift shop is donated to the hospital to support various special projects within the hospital. Through these donations and other fundraising projects, the Auxiliary has contributed more than $3 million to the hospital and countless hours of community service since 2001.
