Holy Cross Senior Source is a senior center with a difference. Designed for active adults age 55 and older, Senior Source offers an array of programs to help seniors get their mind and body fit, maintain their independence, and enhance the quality of life.
Senior Source is an award-winning program developed in partnership with the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County, the Maryland Department of Aging and the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services. The 10,000-square-foot, fully accessible facility in downtown Silver Spring is a welcoming, friendly environment to inspire learning and creativity—open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., five days a week.
There’s something for everyone at Senior Source. The health and wellness classes help seniors learn more about disease prevention and management. Stimulating seminars include topics from financial planning to the arts. Fitness classes can help build strength, increase endurance and improve flexibility. Free blood pressure screenings also are offered at Senior Source.
