Support Groups and Classes Focus on Caregiver Issues
Being a caregiver of aging adults or ill loved ones is an overwhelming and weighty responsibility. At Holy Cross Hospital, we recognize the importance of your role as family caregivers and your need for support and education.
To help families caring for seniors cope with the difficult emotional and practical problems they often face while living with aging parents, we’ve developed a number of caregiver resources.
Our free support groups provide a gathering place for caregivers to share their sorrows and problems, their joys and successes, find solutions and share resources. They serve as a kind of group therapy to help relieve caregiver role strain in a safe and nurturing environment. And our education classes help prepare caregivers to deal with simple health problems—as well as more serious health emergencies.
