Accurate Diagnosis
There are many medical conditions that can contribute to chronic wounds including diabetes, poor circulation, constant pressure or other health conditions.
At your first visit, our interdisciplinary team will evaluate your wound and discuss your medical history, home-life and work-life. This assessment will help determine the factors that are causing and affecting your wound and overall health.
You also may undergo diagnostic testing that will help us to understand, evaluate and treat your wound. Testing may include vascular studies to evaluate your circulation and/or examinations to assess your nerve sensitivity. You may be scheduled for further testing in other departments of the hospital.
