Caregiver Resource Center
At the Holy Cross Hospital Caregiver Resource Center,
our mission is to support and educate family members, friends and professionals
who are involved in the physical, emotional, spiritual and/or social
care of someone who is medically challenged or facing lifestyle changes
as a result of aging.
The Caregiver Resource Center offers:
- Caregiver support groups
- Caregiver education programs
- A resource library with books, audiotapes and videotapes on caregiving
issues and health-related topics
- Brochures from local service providers
- Pamphlets, AARP publications, reprints of health-related articles and
information on upcoming seminars and lectures
- A free caregiver newsletter
- The caregiver telephone helpline
Caregiver Support Groups
The support groups offered by the Holy Cross Hospital Caregiver Resource
Center provide a gathering place for caregivers to share their sorrows
and problems, their joys and successes, find solutions and share resources.
Support groups are held weekly at the following times:
- Adult Children Caring for Aging Parents – Mondays, 6 to
7:30 p.m.
- Spouses – Tuesdays, 2:30 to 4 p.m.
- Spouses – Wednesdays, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
- Spouses – Fridays, 9:30 to 11 a.m.
All support groups meet in Caregiver Resource Center, at the Holy Cross
Resource Center, located one block from Holy Cross Hospital at 9805 Dameron
Drive, Silver Spring.

The Holy Cross Hospital Caregiver Resource Center offers
a complimentary newsletter (three times a year) with tips, resources, articles
on caregiving, seminar and lecture listings and much more.

Parking
Anytime before 10 a.m. on weekdays, you may park in any guest parking
spot and any reserved spot numbered 7 to 11. After 10 a.m. on weekdays,
any open reserved spot is available for your use. After 5 p.m. on
weekdays and anytime on weekends, any open reserved spot is available for
your use.
