About our Inpatient Unit
Holy Cross Hospital’s 26-bed Pediatric
Center cares for inpatients, ambulatory surgery patients and short-stay
patients with a wide range of medical conditions. The center is
designed specially for the care and comfort of children, from newborns
through adolescents.
We understand how stressful a hospital stay
can be for children and their parents. That’s why Holy Cross Hospital’s
Pediatric Center features special menu items to cater to children’s
tastes and a playroom filled with toys, not tests, allowing children
a place to enjoy themselves.
Our playroom is a safe place where no
medical procedures are performed. All essential care is provided
in the care center’s separate treatment room, which has the dual
function of emergency care area and medical procedure room. A separate
treatment room helps children associate their hospital beds with relaxation
and recovery.
We treat parents as active participants, not
simply visitors, in the care of their child. Parents may stay overnight
with their child and order meals from our At Your Request room service
menu for themselves and other visitors. Holy Cross Hospital’s
Pediatric Center is a secure unit with restricted access to ensure
the safety of your child.
