What to Bring to the Hospital
Upon your arrival to the hospital, we recommend that you leave your suitcase
in the trunk of your car until you have delivered your baby and have been
admitted to your maternity suite. Pack a small separate bag for items you
will need in labor, such as a camera, socks, massage tools, and a CD or
tape player. All valuables, including personal items (money, jewelry, documents
or other articles of value), should be left at home.
Essentials
- Robe
- Slippers
- Six to eight pairs of maternity or loose panties
- Toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, brush
- Clothes for mom to go home in (something loose)
- Clothes for the baby to go home in
- Receiving blanket for the baby to go home in
- Car seat (it is recommended that you have the base or car seat installed
by a certified technician about one month prior to your due date)
- The name of the pediatrician you have chosen to take care of your baby.
We will notify him/her once your baby is born.
Optional
- Nursing gowns
- Nursing bras
- Hairdryer (okay to use in the Maternity Suite)
- Long distance calling card (cell phones cannot be used in patient care
areas)

- Diapers and wipes for the baby
- Cap for the baby
