Maternity Center
Perinatal Diagnostic Center
Most women have normal pregnancies and deliver healthy babies. But some
women have a higher risk of developing a problem during pregnancy or birth.
Your pregnancy may be considered high-risk and you may require special
care if you became pregnant after age 35, have a medical condition such
as hypertension or diabetes, or are expecting multiple births.
Holy Cross Hospital offers the most advanced programs and care available
for pregnant women at risk for preeclampsia, premature birth, multiple
births, gestational diabetes and other conditions.
Under the direction
of board-certified specialists in gynecology, obstetrics, perinatology,
genetics and neonatology, our highly skilled team works with women
every step of the way toward a healthy pregnancy and baby.
Women with high-risk pregnancies are referred to our Perinatal Diagnostic
Center for diagnostic testing and ongoing care in collaboration with their
obstetricians. The Holy Cross Hospital Perinatal Diagnostic Center provides
consultation and prenatal diagnostic services to women experiencing high-risk
pregnancies.
The center is operated under the direction of a board-certified perinatologist,
who is a physician with specialized training in expectant mothers and their
babies. Diagnostic services include biophysical profiles, amniocentesis,
non-stress testing, obstetric ultrasound and genetic counseling.
