Identify your coach
This person can be your spouse,
child, sibling or friend, or any person who wants to support you
through this process. Your coach should be involved with every aspect
of your experience.
Schedule pre-operative work-up
Schedule pre-operative work-up by your primary
physician for medical clearance.
- Chest X-ray
- EKG
- Blood work
Pre-registration for inpatient stay
You will be contacted
by the Holy Cross Hospital Patient Registration Department one
to two weeks prior to your surgery. Please have your insurance information
available.

Pre-operative anesthesia appointment
The registration
clerk will contact you to schedule your appointment. If your appointment
has not been scheduled 10 days before your surgery, please call
301.754. 7901/7902.

Pre-operative class
Please call the Joint Center
at 301.754.7929 to schedule your pre-operative class. Classes are
held the first and second Monday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. in
the Professional and Community Education Center on the first floor
of the hospital. Attend this class approximately two to four weeks
prior to surgery.
