- Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)
- Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
The cardiac and intensive care units are equipped with the newest hemodynamic
monitoring and continuous cardiac monitoring capability. The intermediate
care units have continuous cardiac telemetry and oxygen saturation monitoring.
Delivering an excellent standard of evidence-based nursing care, the professional
staff at Holy Cross Hospital has the specialized experience to care for
patients. Our nurses practice in an environment that nurtures and strives
for excellence in nursing care and outstanding patient outcomes. Drawing
from experience and education, nurses apply clinical interventions to successfully
ensure optimum care.
Educating patients about their hospital stay, recovery period, and ways
to promote, protect and maintain their health is a priority at Holy Cross
Hospital and a component of the overall plan of care. Each patient receives
a learning needs evaluation and a comprehensive assessment. These tools
are used to create an education plan and to guide the interventions specific
to the needs of both the patient and his or her family.
