Cancer Institute: Treatment
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy uses specific anti-cancer drugs to kill and eradicate
cancer cells. It can be given alone, or in combination with radiation
therapy, or as a follow-up to surgery. Chemotherapy can be delivered
on an inpatient or outpatient basis, depending on what your physician
prescribes. Medications are available to help reduce or manage
the side effects of chemotherapy.
Infusion Services
The Holy Cross Outpatient Infusion Center is open 24 hours a day,
7 days a week. Patients being treated with chemotherapy can receive
their treatment in a safe, comfortable environment.
