
Daniel H. Clarke, M.D.
Daniel H. Clarke, M.D., recently
joined Holy Cross Hospital. Dr. Clarke had previously acted as the Directory
of Brachytherapy (the specialty of radiation implants) for 14 years at
Inova Alexandria Hospital. During his tenure, he developed a national renowned
prostate seed implant program. He has performed more than 1200 prostate
seed implants, and has published numerous articles on the subject
of radiation oncology, high dose rate brachytherapy, breast cancer,
head and neck cancer, and seed implants for prostate cancer. Dr.
Clarke has more than 100 publications in national and international
journals and has presented data at more than 50 national and international
medical society meetings. He has also authored chapters in several
textbooks.
Dr. Clarke is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Medical Association, both the American and European Societies for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Brachytherapy Society. He is a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology/Therapeutic Radiology.
Dr. Clarke is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He then completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Stanford University.
