About Registration
On the day of your admission, please register and/or check-in at:
- 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Holy Cross Hospital Main Lobby
- 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- Holy Cross Hospital Emergency Services Entrance
Maternity Pre-Registration
You can save precious time when you are
in labor by pre-registering before your expected due date for
delivery. You may pickup pre-registration forms from your physician’s
office, at the time of a Holy Cross Hospital prenatal tour, in
the Holy Cross Hospital main lobby or you may request a form
by calling 301.754.7200. Please
fill out the forms completely and call us if you have any questions.
Most insurance plans require pre-authorization for your admission for the delivery of your baby. Check with your employer’s benefits office or insurance company customer service representative to make sure that you have met their notification requirements.
If you are unable to complete the pre-registration forms ahead of time, you and your support person will need to allow a extra time to complete the registration process when you arrive at the hospital. Please bring your insurance cards for us to copy.
About Discharge
The units have different checkout times. Please check with your
nurse to find out the checkout time on your unit. Please arrange
for transportation home by the checkout time on the day of your
discharge.
Billing
When your physician discharges you, you or a family member will
be directed to the cashier located in the main lobby. Payment of
deductibles and self-pay balances is expected before discharge.
Discharge Assistance
Staff members are available to assist with discharge
needs.
Social Services/Discharge Planning
Social workers and Holy Cross Hospital staff are here to help you
plan for in-home or extended care facility arrangements.

The customer relations department is available Monday
through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
