Holy Cross Hospital Announces Organization Alignment (09/25/12)
Holy Cross Hospital of Silver Spring, Maryland, has announced an organizational alignment to support its growth as a health care delivery organization that operates two hospitals and a network of three health centers and other entities and maintains a range of relationships with many affiliated physicians.

Holy Cross Hospital Receives Final Approval for Germantown CON and Names New Hospital (05/31/2012)
On May 31, 2012, the Maryland Health Care Commission gave final unanimous approval of Holy Cross Hospital's plans to build the new hospital in Germantown and reissued its Certificate of Need. Holy Cross Hospital will proceed immediately with the construction of the new hospital, which will be named Holy Cross Germantown Hospital.

Groundbreaking Ceremony Held December 8 in Germantown - A New Hospital for Montgomery County (12/08/2011)
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on December 8 for Montgomery County’s first new hospital in 35 years.More than 300 people witnessed the ceremony and honored guests included Donald Cardinal Wuerl, archbishop of Washington, Maryland Senate President Thomas V. “Mike” Miller and other representatives of state and local government. 

Holy Cross Hospital Obtains Local Approval to Develop New Hospital in Germantown (10/20/11)
The Montgomery County Planning Board gave unanimous approval of Holy Cross Hospital’s plans for development of a hospital on the Germantown campus of Montgomery College. Earlier, Holy Cross received approval from the Maryland Health Care Commission, the state’s regulatory body charged with reviewing and approving the hospital’s application for a Certificate of Need.

Impact Study on Proposed Germantown Hospital Finds Big Economic Impact on Montgomery County and Maryland (05/17/10) 
The construction and operation of a Holy Cross Hospital on the Germantown Campus of Montgomery College would help to create nearly 6,000 jobs in Maryland and provide a major boost to local business sales and county and state tax revenues, according to a study released on May 17, 2010, by economist Anirban Basu of the Sage Policy Group.
