Holy Cross Germantown Hospital: Bringing Much-Needed Emergency Services to Northern Montgomery County
Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, which opens in October 2014, will feature the only full-service Germantown, Md., emergency room. The emergency room is expected to care for more than 22,000 people each year.
The hospital’s emergency room will be staffed by a team of board-certified emergency medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and patient care technicians. It will feature the full array of acute emergency services, as well as specialized emergency services including:
- Rapid care of patients with less serious medical issues.
- Acute care for patients with multiple, critical injuries.
- Care for patients who require extended monitoring, but don’t need to be admitted to an inpatient hospital unit.
- Emergency psychiatric services and direct access to the hospital’s inpatient adult Behavioral Health Unit.
