A Teaching Hospital
Holy Cross Hospital is the only non-Federal member of the Association
of American Medical Colleges’ Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health
Systems in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.
Residency Programs
The hospital hosts physician residency programs
affiliated with George Washington University and Children’s National
Medical Center.
GATE Institute
The hospital houses the GATE Institute, a specialized training center
for physicians who perform minimally invasive procedures.
Continuing Medical Education Program
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program at Holy Cross Hospital
is structured to provide current and relevant educational activities
for the medical and dental staff of the hospital and for interested physicians
in the community.
Professional and Community Education Center
A sophisticated on-site Professional and Community Education Center
is designed for clinicians and community members to acquire and share
new knowledge.
Nursing Education
The hospital educates students from 13 nursing programs
and houses a state-of-the-art Nursing Simulation Laboratory. Through a
partnership with Marymount University, Holy Cross Hospital offers to employees
three onsite academic programs, including a bachelor of science in nursing
(BSN) program for registered nurses (RN), a master of science in
nursing (MSN) program, and a master of healthcare management program.
School of Radiologic Technology
Holy Cross Hospital operates its own School of Radiologic Technology.
