Grand Rounds Schedule
Hospital Grand Rounds
Hospital Grand Rounds are designed to present some of the latest advances in the field of medicine and health care to practicing physicians, physicians in training and other health care providers. The Hospital Grand Rounds program strives to disseminate information about medical therapeutics, practice management and health care issues in order to maintain high quality in-patient care management. Grand Rounds are hosted every Tuesday at noon in the hospital’s Professional and Community Education Center (except for August). Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. CMEs and CEUs are offered.

Topic: Breast Cancer From Screening to Treatment
Speaker: Eric Oristian, MD, associate clinical professor of Surgery, George Washington University Medical Center
Educational Objectives: Become familiar with the epidemiology of Breast Cancer, improve your knowledge of its signs and symptoms, and learn what treatment procedures can lead to an improved prognosis.

Topic: Chronic Kidney Disease
Speaker: Christina M. Yuan, program pirector, Nephrology Program, National Capital Military Medical Education Consortium, Washington, DC
Educational Objectives: Improve your knowledge of the epidemiology of chronic kidney disease, list its usual signs and symptoms, and discuss your management of the patient providing information on how to improve the prognosis.
