Holy Cross Health provides a wide range of education and wellness programs for seniors, including physician-led lectures, health screenings, and fitness classes. These programs are designed to keep you in good health, both physically and mentally, as you age.
Fitness and movement classes, health and wellness education, medical screenings, special events and support groups are offered at Holy Cross Hospital and more than thirty community-based centers throughout the area. AARP Driver Safety Class
A classroom refresher course designed to sharpen driving skills and develop new defensive driving techniques for drivers age 50 and older. View schedule and registration information.
Blood Pressure Screening

Diabetes Education Class
Diabetes self-management classes, taught by a registered nurse and dietitian, prepare the participant to self-manage their disease in partnership with their physician. The class includes four group sessions and one individual visit with a dietitian. View schedule and registration information.
Diabetes Prevention Program
This free 12-week classroom program is designed to help individuals who have pre-diabetes to make lifestyle changes, such as weight loss and exercise, which can prevent or delay the onset of diabetes or cardiovascular disease. Early Stage Alzheimer's Support Group
Adults who have been diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer’s Disease and mild cognitive impairment will have the opportunity to bond, socialize, receive helpful information and support. View schedule and registration information

This 5-week course was created by UCLA Center on Aging. The course explains how memory works; offers quick strategies for remembering names, faces and numbers; provides basic memory tools such as linking ideas and creating visual images; and maximizes the effectiveness of using memory aids such as lists. Six Weeks to a Happier Healthier You!

Better Bones (55+)
This free program is designed for seniors 55 and older. It focuses on reducing the rate of bone loss, improving balance and flexibility, and enhancing energy and well-being. View schedule and registration information.

Line Dancing - Senior Source
This line dance class created for seniors 55+ will teach you line dance routines with low and high energy steps. You'll get a great workout while learning the latest line dancing techniques- come and get your groove on! Little or no dance experience is required. Matter of Balance
During these eight 2-hour classes, you will set goals for increasing activity and learn how to: View falls as controllable; Make changes to reduce falls risks at home; Exercise to increase strength and balance. Parkinson's Exercise Class
This multi-week class, designed for seniors 55+ who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, will help maintain joint mobility, improve coordination and balance, increase muscle strength and flexibility, reduce stress and improve control over gross motor movements such as walking. Stay Active - MOVE (55+)
Safe and simple exercises designed for seniors 55 and older by the Arthritis Foundation that will help you increase your level of endurance, boost your energy, and improve your range of motion. THis class is offered in English and Spanish.
In this class, designed for seniors 55+, you will learn basic postures, principles, health benefits and methods of meditation. Tai Chi is an integrated system of health, self-defense and meditation. UpRight Balance Training
This program uses sensory training and balace-specific exercises that increase awareness skills needed for balance maintenance. In order to be eligible for this program, you MUST have had a FALLS ASSESSMENT WITHIN THE THREE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLASS and you must fall into the low to moderate falls risk range. Wake Up with Zumba
This fun, energizing exercise class will get your Tuesday mornings off to a good start. This class utilizes high energy Latin rhythms to get you motivated and moving.
