Community Health Fitness

Ballroom Swing - Basics and Beyond
Learn the social style of ballroom dancing in a friendly, fun and supportive atmosphere while enjoying a gentle and varied cardiovascular workout. View schedule and registration information.

Better Balance (55+)
Designed for seniors 55 and older, this free class incorporates strength and resistance training and balance-specific exercises that target the three sensory systems - visual, muscular and neurologic - involved in balance control. The goal of this class is to improve balance through increased strength and body awareness in challenging situations. View schedule and registration information.

Better Bones (55+)
This free program is designed for seniors 55 and older. It focuses on reducing the rate of bone loss, improving balance and flexibility, and enhancing energy and well-being. View schedule and registration information.

Chair Yoga
Chair yoga is done seated and standing using the chair to assist in improving balance, strength and flexibility. A great class for seniors and individuals with physical challenges. View schedule and registration information.

Family Friendly Karate
Learn karate techniques and improve your balance, strength and flexibility in this family friendly class. View schedule and registration information.

Gentle Yoga
Combines gentle stretching, restorative postures, Yogic breathing and guided deep relaxation. View schedule and registration information.

Gentle Yoga - Senior Source
This multi-session class designed for seniors 55 and older combines warm-ups, gentle and restorative postures, breathing, and relaxation to reduce stress and increase movement. View schedule and registration information.

Line Dancing
This line dance class created for seniors 55+ will teach you line dance routines with low and high energy steps. View schedule and registration information.

Manage Your Fitness Online
Using a new Web-based fitness program, Interactive Health Partner, you can consult with health and fitness experts online, receive a custom exercise program, set and manage goals and track results. View schedule and registration information.

Mat Pilates
This exercise class is designed for seniors 55 and older to strengthen, tone and lengthen your core muscles to balance the strength of your abdominal and back muscles while improving posture and flexibility. View schedule and registration information.

Matter of Balance
Have you fallen? Are you concerned about falls and restricting your activities because of this concern? During these eight 2-hour classes, you will set goals for increasing activity and learn how to: *View falls as controllable *Make changes to reduce falls risks at home *Exercise to increase strength and balance. PACE: People with Arthritis Can Exercise (55+) (Spanish) 
This free, multi-week class of safe and simple exercises designed by the Arthritis Foundation will help to increase endurance, boost energy, and improve range of motion. View schedule and registration information.

Parkinson's Exercise Class
This multi-week class, designed for seniors 55+ who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, will help maintain joint mobility, improve coordination and balance, increase muscle strength and flexibility, reduce stress and improve control over gross motor movements such as walking. Pilates
A mat class designed to improve flexibility, core strength and posture. View schedule and registration information.

Postnatal Yoga/Pilates for Moms & Babies
A six-session course developed for mothers and babies (six weeks to nine months). Includes mother-baby postures and massage designed to strengthen, stretch, and tone both of you. View schedule and registration information.

Prenatal Yoga
In this six-session course, learn breathing and relaxation techniques, postures for stretching and toning, and ways to strengthen the muscles used during labor and delivery. Talk time is included in each class. View schedule and registration information.

Senior FIT (55+)

Tai Chi
In this class, designed for seniors 55+, you will learn basic postures, principles, health benefits and methods of meditation. Tai Chi is an integrated system of health, self-defense and meditation. View schedule and registration information.

Tai Chi-chih
Tai Chi-Chih's gentle movements release stress by relaxing the body while refreshing the mind. The movements promote physical, mental, and emotional health. These nonmartial arts movements can be done by anyone regardless of physical condition. Advanced | Beginners.

UpRight Balance Training
This program uses sensory training and balace-specific exercises that increase awareness skills needed for balance maintenance. In order to be eligible for this program, you MUST have had a FALLS ASSESSMENT WITHIN THE THREE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLASS and you must fall into the low to moderate falls risk range. Water Workout - Senior Aerobics
A 10-week water aerobic class for people with arthritis. Non-swimmers are welcome. View schedule and registration information.

Wheelchair Ballroom Dance

Yoga - Senior Source

Yoga for Insomnia
Does sleep elude you? Explore what to do if you have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep utilyzing a variety of yoga tools and techniques. View schedule and registration information.

Yoga for Women

Yoga I
Develop flexibility, balance and strengthen the body while cultivating a sense of inner peace. An active yet meditative experience that includes yoga postures, breathing, and deep relaxation. View schedule and registration information.

Yoga II
Designed for continuing yoga students who have taken Yoga I for at least six months. This class focuses on refining postures and moving into more advanced versions of the poses. View schedule and registration information.

Yoga Nidra

Zumba Gold Fitness
This dance class, designed for seniors age 55+, is inspired by Latin dance. Zumba is a fitness exercise that focuses on interval cardio training in the guise of Latin style beats and dance moves.
