Pain management is a high priority of our cancer treatment programs. One highly effective method is patient controlled analgesia (PCA). PCA allows a patient to self-administer medication, which is delivered through an IV from a small, computerized pump.
It ensures continuous and regulated pain relief, with the safety of special lockout devices to prevent accidental overdose of self-administrated pain medicine.
