Holy Cross Hospital Celebrates 100,000 Visits to Its Health Centers Since 2004
Holy Cross Health has reached another milestone in providing access to quality health care for uninsured residents of Montgomery County. During October 2012, the Montgomery County hospital system reached 100,000 visits to its three health centers for the uninsured since 2004.
With Montgomery County locations in Gaithersburg, Aspen Hill and Silver Spring, the health centers are primary care medical centers providing affordably priced health care services to uninsured adults at least 18 years of age.
The centers also were created to offer a unique learning opportunity for students of nursing and other allied health programs. Highly skilled medical professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners and registered nurses, staff the Holy Cross Health centers. The staff is bilingual in English and Spanish, and translation services are available for other languages.
This achievement was recently celebrated at the Silver Spring Health Center on Georgia Avenue. Photos can be viewed on the Holy Cross Hospital Flickr site.
